Accountant - revenue reconciliation (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Bright Foods and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in El Paso, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
