Accountant - revenue reconciliation (El Paso, TX)

Redstone Harbor Transit Planning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around survey data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fare systems, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
