Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Junction Financial is a financial-services company in Detroit, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around payment disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with loan applications. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
