Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Detroit, MI)

Fernwood Vista Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for supplier deliveries, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
