Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge River Press is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for bindery work, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around paper stock against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with bindery work. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
