Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Denver, CO)

Ironwood Loom Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Denver, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 182 people based in Denver. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to classroom supplies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with classroom supplies. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Denver. • We reply to every applicant.
