Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Dallas, TX)

Lumen Lantern Property Management Group looks after rental homes across the Dallas area, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Track costs around unit turnovers against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
