Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Dallas, TX)

Stonegate Pine Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Dallas and nearby communities, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pipe repairs, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around capital projects against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
