Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Dallas, TX)

Bluepeak Beacon Press produces print and digital publications in Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 193 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Track costs around bindery work against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to paper stock, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with paper stock. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
