Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Dallas, TX)

Stonegate Harbor Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Dallas, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 176 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
