Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Dallas, TX)

Fernwood Field Press produces print and digital publications in Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Track costs around bindery work against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to paper stock, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with paper stock. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
