Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Dallas, TX)

Stonegate Forge Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
