Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Columbus, OH)

Bluepeak Loom Insurance Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 886 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to premium billing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with premium billing.
