Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Columbus, OH)

Lumen Timber Manufacturing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
