Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Columbus, OH)

Amberfield Pike Manufacturing makes precision components in Columbus, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
