Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Columbus, OH)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Vista Insurance and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 329 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to premium billing, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Columbus. • We reply to every applicant.
