Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Columbus, OH)

Amberfield Keystone Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Columbus, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. • Track costs around service complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
