Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Colorado Springs, CO)

Bluepeak Ashton Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Colorado Springs presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school partnerships, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with school partnerships. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
