Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Yarrow Hospitality and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food costs, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with food costs. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
