Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Hollow Environmental Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to recycling loads, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
