Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charlotte, NC)

Northwind Sparrow Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Charlotte, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with client records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
