Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charleston, SC)

Westbrook Rowan Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for fraud alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
