Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charleston, SC)

Summit Haven Learning Group is an education provider in Charleston serving students and families, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around learning materials against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with family communication.
