Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Hollow Farms and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
