Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charleston, SC)

Cedar Willow Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Charleston. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We value patience and follow-through. What you will do • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease compliance, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with lease compliance. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
