Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Charleston, SC)

Westbrook Juniper Foods is a Charleston food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 571 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around production batches against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
