Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Summit Drift Foods and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
