Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Buffalo, NY)

Stonegate Field Markets is a Buffalo retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 743 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
