Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Beacon Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 84 people based in Boston. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
