Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Boston, MA)

Highbridge Haven Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for customer estimates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around parts orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
