Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Boise, ID)

Nova Vale Markets serves neighbourhoods around Boise with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around online orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
