Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Birmingham, AL)

Harborlight Birch Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Birmingham, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
