Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Birmingham, AL)

Nova Willow Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Birmingham region, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with change orders.
