Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Birmingham, AL)

Amberfield Willow Learning Group is an education provider in Birmingham serving students and families, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Families are partners. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to learning materials, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around attendance records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
