Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Baltimore, MD)

Westbrook Meridian Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Baltimore serving households and small businesses. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with fraud alerts. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
