Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Baltimore, MD)

Redstone Umber Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Baltimore design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to accessibility audits, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around ridership counts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
