Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Ivory Transit Planning and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 275 people based in Austin. What you will do • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
