Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Atlanta, GA)

Northwind Sable Manufacturing Group manufactures parts and assemblies at its Atlanta plant. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
