Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Atlanta, GA)

Cedar Haven Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Atlanta, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 705 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
