Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Atlanta, GA)

Cedar River Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Atlanta. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around resident services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
