Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Atlanta, GA)

Ironwood Junction Markets Partners serves neighbourhoods around Atlanta with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to shrink and waste, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
