Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Atlanta, GA)

Fernwood Sable Markets Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for shrink and waste, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around store inventory against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to shrink and waste, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with shrink and waste. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
