Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

Northwind Umber Civic Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for case files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around procurement against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
