Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

Fernwood Yarrow Legal Group provides legal services in Anchorage across employment, housing and small-business law, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around intake forms against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
