Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

Bright Quill Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Anchorage, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
