Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Quarry Inspection Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 119 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
