Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Northwind Oak Freight and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loads and lanes, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
