Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Inspection Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Track costs around certifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
