Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Albuquerque, NM)

Northwind Field Press Group prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Albuquerque plant. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to paper stock, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with paper stock. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
