Accountant - month-end close (Wichita, KS)

Silverline Juniper Facilities is a facilities company in Wichita with crews on day and night shifts, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
